PRODUCT INFO
Sometimes a simple outfit only needs one unforgettable detail.

These sculptural red cherry earrings are playful, but their long, flowing gold-coloured stems give them a more grown-up feel. The glossy red cherries bring colour and movement to whatever you wear. Pair them with a white T-shirt or an evening dress—they’re the kind of piece people notice, ask about and remember.

Cherry earrings aren’t hard to find. Porcelain cherries slowly made and finished by an artist are a little harder.

I make the porcelain cherries in small batches, then assemble each pair with 18K gold-plated metal and sterling silver posts. Because every cherry is finished by hand, no two pairs turn out exactly alike. Each pair has its own character—a little piece of wearable porcelain art rather than just another accessory.

The porcelain cherries are hollow, giving you the impact of a statement earring without the weight of solid ceramic.

DETAILS
Handmade high-fired porcelain cherries
18K gold-plated brass
18K gold-plated sterling silver ear posts
Approximately 30 × 75 mm
Approximately 20 g per pair
Handmade in small batches in Copenhagen

WEIGHT & COMFORT
Each earring weighs approximately 10g—just slightly more than a €2 coin. If you regularly wear statement earrings, the weight should feel familiar; I can comfortably wear mine throughout the day. If your ears are particularly sensitive or you prefer barely-there jewellery, one of my lighter designs may suit you better.

CARE ADVICE

High-fired porcelain can be stronger than it looks, but like all ceramics, it can chip or break if dropped or struck against a hard surface. Wear it normally, handle it with care and avoid contact with hard or sharp objects.

Gold- and silver-plated finishes naturally change and gradually fade with wear. Thoughtful care will help your jewellery stay beautiful for longer.

  • Avoid direct contact with water, perfume, soap, hand sanitiser, cosmetics, moisturisers, oils and household chemicals. Allow skincare and perfume to dry before putting on your jewellery.
  • Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. If it gets wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth.
  • Handle chains, clasps and other components gently, without pulling or twisting them.
  • After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths, as these may damage the plated finish.
  • Store each piece separately in a dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from moisture, scratches and impact.

THE STORY BEHIND YOUR PIECE

Every POPORCELAIN piece begins as humble clay and passes through a slow process of shaping, refining, glazing and firing before becoming wearable art.

Each porcelain element is shaped and finished by hand in my Copenhagen studio. Most require two or three firings—more than 15 hours in the kiln at temperatures reaching 1280°C.

Subtle handmade variations give every piece its own character, so you receive something personal and expressive rather than jewellery produced by the thousands—made to be worn, noticed and enjoyed.
